BBA Community Guidelines

BBA Community Guidelines

Last Updated: September 28, 2026

At Body Brain Alliance, we believe in setting clear expectations. To that end, we have created a set of culture guidelines that we expect you all to adhere to so that this community can function optimally.

  • This community is for adults working on their own behavior change. BBA community participation is limited to adults age 18 and older. You are welcome to talk about how relationships, caregiving, parenting, or supporting someone else affects your own behavior and to seek support for your own responses, routines, capacity, or choices. The community is not a place to seek individualized coaching, behavioral, medical, mental health, or other guidance for another person. Posts requesting advice, strategies, resources, or recommendations intended for anyone under 18 will be removed.
  • Support, encourage, and uplift each other. Having a supportive community can be the difference between success and failure when it comes to change. Believe in each other, speak positively to each other, and lean on each other when you need to.
  • The channels are for you — use them! Ask questions when you’re stuck, brag on your tiny (or large!) moments of growth, seek support from people who “get it.” This space is meant to be a resource for you, and the more you use it, the more you’ll get out of it. There is no such thing as a stupid question!
  • No judging yourself or others (yes, even in your own head!). You are all on a journey that can be extremely difficult at times. Criticism and harsh judgment only make that journey harder — so be gentle with yourself, and extend that same compassion to others.
  • No language expressing discrimination or prejudice of any kind. This includes but is not limited to, racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, and xenophobia. Violation of this guideline will result in your immediate removal from the community.
  • Respect the privacy of other members. Please do not screenshot, record, copy, quote, or share another member’s posts, comments, personal information, or experiences outside the BBA community without their explicit permission. This is a safe space and we trust our members to keep it as such.
  • Please protect the privacy of people outside BBA as well. When sharing about someone in your life, include only the details needed to explain your own experience and avoid identifying or unnecessarily sensitive information. Please be especially mindful when discussing children or minors, and keep the focus on your own experience rather than another person’s diagnosis, treatment, symptoms, or behavior.
  • If using direct messages, use them respectfully. Do not use direct messages to provide unsolicited coaching or advice, recruit members, promote outside communities, request personal information, or repeatedly contact someone who has not welcomed the interaction.
  • We reserve the right to remove any post that violates our community guidelines. We also reserve the right to remove posts that are outside of our scope of practice.
  • Member contributions are not BBA recommendations. Posts, comments, resources, and suggestions shared by community members reflect their own experiences and opinions. BBA does not verify or endorse member recommendations, and the presence of content in the community does not mean that BBA has reviewed or approved it.
  • Body Brain Alliance provides behavior change coaching and education. We do not provide mental health treatment, crisis support, trauma processing, or psychiatric care. Members are welcome to share relevant personal experiences, health conditions, diagnoses, or other circumstances as context when they affect their behavior or ability to make changes. The focus should remain on your own experience and behavior change rather than seeking to understand, diagnose, or treat a condition.
The community is not designed for venting or real-time processing of intense or escalating distress. Members may share that they are struggling, but please keep the focus on the behavior change issue and relevant context rather than using the community to process or unload intense distress in real time. Posts seeking or providing individualized support for trauma, mental health conditions, psychiatric concerns, or other topics outside our scope will be removed to preserve the safety and purpose of the community.
If you are experiencing distress that is becoming difficult to manage or is significantly affecting your daily functioning, please seek support from an appropriately qualified mental health professional.
  • The BBA community is not an emergency or crisis service and is not continuously monitored. If you or someone else is in immediate danger or experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact an appropriate emergency or crisis service in your location rather than relying on the community for assistance.
  • Please respect Body Brain Alliance’s intellectual property. All materials, resources, activities, frameworks, recordings, and community content provided by Body Brain Alliance are proprietary materials and are authorized for your personal use only. By being in this community, you agree not to copy, reproduce, distribute, share, publish, sell, license, or otherwise use BBA proprietary materials without prior written permission.
    • You also agree not to upload, submit, paste, or provide BBA proprietary materials to artificial intelligence tools, language models, content generators, or other third-party platforms.
    • You further agree not to use or adapt BBA proprietary materials to create, develop, support, or improve your own coaching services, courses, programs, apps, products, resources, or other commercial materials unless explicitly agreed.
  • As a participant, If you see content or behavior that may violate these guidelines, please report it to the BBA team or using the “Report” feature.

This is NOT a space to solicit or promote your own OR other products, services, etc.

  • As a participant, I agree to report any member who attempts to sell their product, service, or coaching to me within this platform.
  • Please do not recommend, promote, or direct members toward coaching services or behavior change programs offered by other companies. Allowing these recommendations to remain in the community could reasonably be interpreted as an endorsement by Body Brain Alliance. Any such posts or comments will be removed.
  • If I am a coach, I agree NOT to promote my business in any way within the community. I understand that direct messaging any individual about my coaching services is a violation of my agreement and I will be revoked from all products without refund.

Finally, please leave coaching to the BBA coaches.

There will likely be times when you want to give other members feedback or advice — especially if you’ve been on your own change journey for a while, or if you have coaching experience. We’re all about sharing ideas and starting insightful conversations! But to preserve the integrity of the community, we ask that all such discussions adhere to the following guidelines:

Please do not tell another member what they should do, prescribe a specific strategy for their situation, or guide them through a behavior-change process. Avoid turning your response into a personalized plan or set of instructions.

Refrain from giving direct or individualized advice. When responding, share from your own experience and perspective rather than giving individualized guidance. If someone is looking for more personalized support, a BBA coach is the best place to bring that question.

  • Instead of: “You should try X”, “my coach says X, so you should try that”, “it sounds like what’s happening for you is X, so I would…”, “here’s what you need to do…”
  • Consider: “I tried X and it helped me because…”, “my coach once suggested X to me, and I found it useful for…”, “what helped me in a similar situation was…”, “this sounds like something I’ve experienced, and what helped me was X”

The goal is to share what has been helpful in your own experience without taking on the role of another member’s coach.

Do not give (or solicit) medical or psychiatric advice. The body and the brain are highly complex, and this community is simply not designed for complex discussions regarding diagnoses or treatments. Any such discussions will be removed immediately. If you are seeking advice, we encourage you to discuss your medical or psychiatric questions with a trained medical professional or psychiatrist.
