Jon has been coaching for nearly 10 years, primarily focused on nutrition and movement, and helping people develop a healthy, life long relationship with food. They are an expert in helping clients find unconventional and more helpful perspectives in everyday life tasks and work, to find a joyful and compassionate approach in their time management and prioritization systems, while they develop cognitive and emotional skills to build self trust along that process.
Jon recently moved to a remote property in the mountains in rural British Columbia, and they are enjoying deepening their relationship to food by growing it and foraging in the nearby woods. They also have a pet hedgehog named Harley who occasionally shows up on client calls if you’re lucky.
(they/them)
As a coach, a lot of my clients come from a background of struggling to find a place in the conventional health and fitness world, or being overwhelmed by all the conflicting advice out there.
I’m an expert at helping people reduce the noise and focus on the tangible things they need to do to meet their goals. I love working with clients who want to build lifelong movement habits and feel at home in their own bodies as they are right now, and to find the activities that they enjoy and are passionate about so that they can actually look forward to moving their bodies. I’m a big believer that most clients have what they need to succeed already, if they can take messy action, learn to live with imperfection, and sit with the discomfort that comes with change long enough to see results, and that’s where I can have the biggest impact on my clients.
I help clients build compassionate time management systems, prioritize work, and build their discomfort tolerance around getting things done in a way where they actually enjoy showing up for their to-do lists, and help people develop emotional regulation skills, self confidence and self efficacy so that clients can feel like they can trust themselves in pursuing their goals.
“Jon has been much more than what I could ask for a coach. Their biggest strength is the way they understand me. Sometimes the way they paraphrase my thoughts or issues is what I had in my head but could not express. The way they communicate is effective to me because they are firm on the suggestions but with a tone of 100% comprehension.”
“Jon is fantastic at reading into my check ins, pointing out my wins and finding ways to frame them for me to take it further in my journey and provide encouragement.”
“Jon is really positive and does a great job of being encouraging and celebratory of all the little and big wins. They are very realistic and really looks at what's working, not adding new activities or increasing expectations just to do so.”
